Summer Days.

Take me back to those summer days that are long gone now...
 Take me back to the fun we had in the garden and an impromptu photo shoot that my sister did. Heart eyes.
 Now Lily is 2 and a half months I kind of miss her being inside me... The little kicks and all.

Ice Rink Fun

On Friday we went to the Natural History Museum Ice Rink - in the heart of Kensington. We loved every single second of it!! LOVED IT!! The tickets are a bit pricey but it is totally worth it. And the hot chocolate and chips are the best!! It was a chilly but sunny day andI kind of wish I could re-live it. It started quite bad, with an orange juice spillage (all over the spare clothes) at the station - but it went smooth from then on! A trip like that really puts you in a festive mood.

PS. Now I need to look for an ice skating school for Safina mehehe.

Advent Calendar

CHRISTMAS TIME IS COMING!

Fast approaching Christmas (oh my goodness, just realised it's actually ONE MONTH before the Christmas EVE), and something my children wait for the most - Advent Calendar. Yes, the chocolate one...but also : the lovingly handmade task calendar. Last year I found a huge stick and attached numbers from 1 to 24 and covered it in ivy - then hanged it. Under each number we had either a task or a small gift.

That's how it looked:

This year - as they're much bigger, I'm planning mainly Christmas tasks as it brings so much joy and us together in end, which is the main goal before the BIG C.

 To give you examples, I'm planning to put

* getting a Christmas Tree
* preparing decorations for the house
* putting the lights up all over the house
* baking ginger bread cookies and cinnamon buns
* reading Christmas books
* screening of 'Frozen' etc.

As for the small gifts, socks, toys from the pound shop will make them more than happy.

I managed to find a very pretty Ginger Bread House from Aldi - this one I'm saving for the 6th of December when traditionally Santa leaves little bits in their shoes.

Something different everyday that makes the Christmas very special. Right now the evenings are soooo long and dark you need a bit of a sparkle and a bit of SPRINKLES on top of them right?

I'll try to add some photos of the one I'll make shortly.

There are two options right now - on the hula hoop - with baubles attached or again on the good old stick. Will see which one wins ;)

Just to let you know,

Advent Calendar with sweet goodies (and other bits and pieces) and couples' things to do would be a great option too - so don't restrict yourselves to your children!

Tomorrow we are going to Natural History Museum, and to see the lights on Oxford Street and roof top in John Lewis, so will let you know how that goes.

Have a great day!!
